On October 29th, the “International Forum on Electric Vehicle Technology Innovation†was held in Beijing. The forum aims to further improve the manufacturing level of electric vehicles and implement the new energy vehicle industry plan.
The forum lasted for two days and was the theme of “improving the technical level and implementing industrial planningâ€. Participants discussed issues related to new energy vehicle support policies, market environment, infrastructure, power batteries, and high-efficiency motors. In addition to demonstrating the staged research and development results of China's electric vehicles and proclaiming the technical development of the electric vehicle industry, the forum will focus on the application of pure electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.
As we all know, 2014 is the most crucial year for China to implement the first phase of the “Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Planâ€, and it is also considered to be the “first year†of China's electric vehicle industrialization. The proportion of electric passenger cars in China's total electric vehicle production increased from 45.6% in 2013 to 68.6%, indicating that private consumers' demand for electric vehicles began to accelerate. At this point in time, experts, industry, and business representatives gathered together to discuss the two factors of electric vehicle R&D and market, which have certain industry impact.
It is understood that the forum was co-sponsored by the China Automotive Technology Research Center, the China Electric Vehicle 100-member Association, and the “Twelfth Five-Year†key special expert group for the development of electric vehicle technology. More than 450 delegates attended the forum. The day before the forum was held, the organizers also arranged some electric vehicles to conduct venue test drive activities.
