In the past few days, a torrential rain hit Sichuan's city of Bazhong, causing severe flood damage to rural power facilities. The city's power grid 35 kV substations were shut down and 8 lines were out of service. The cumulative number of 10 kV lines was suspended and transported 127 times, and 1962 power distribution zones were cumulatively powered off for 10 kV and below distribution networks, involving 184,000 households with power outages.

After the disaster occurred, the State Grid Bazhong Electric Power Bureau quickly launched an emergency plan to step up recovery of power supply to users of power outages, and ensured that wherever the water retreated to where the power supply was restored, the speed was quickly restored. The disasters in Tongjiang and Pyeongchang were extremely serious. There were up to 900 radio stations in the area, and there were 76,895 power outage users. Pingchang County Old Street, Baiyi, Yuntai, and other townships were flooded, with 81,000 power users. The flood disaster is expected to cause 120,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity loss in the Pakistan-China power grid. According to preliminary findings, equipment and facilities lost more than 7.61 million yuan. In addition, because of flooding and road interruptions, the townships of Baiyi and Yuntai in Tongjiang Guangna, Wafang, Yong'an, Tiefo, Kongshan, Hekou, and Pingchang could not be counted. .

As of 22:00 on July 20, after the cadres and staff of Bazhong Electric worked hard, the 35-kilovolt transformer substation and line had all resumed operation. Cumulative restoration of 1154 power distribution stations, 83,996 users of power outages, 908 non-restored transformer stations, and 100,000 outage users. Among them, there are 405 transformer station areas that have not been restored in Tongjiang.
