Recently, seven additional enterprises in Shandong Province applied for inclusion in the industry access announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, including four waste tire comprehensive utilization industries, namely Dongxian Rubber Co., Ltd., Gaomi Xinyuan Rubber Co., Ltd., Shandong Qihe Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. Ltd., Shandong Yuquan Group Co., Ltd., can use 216,000 tons of used tires annually. There are 3 scrap steel processing industries, namely Jinan Hualong Metal Co., Ltd., Yantai Fule Material Recycling Co., Ltd. and Shandong Detai Renewable Resources Co., Ltd., which can process 980,000 tons of scrap steel annually. In 2014, the total number of enterprises applying for inclusion in the announcement was 12.
In order to standardize the orderly development of the comprehensive utilization of scrap steel and used tires, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology successively implemented industry access for scrap steel and used tires (tire renovation) in 2012. Up to now, Shandong Province has included 12 enterprises for admission, including 9 scrap steel processing enterprises, which can process 6.05 million tons of scrap steel annually. There are 3 waste tire comprehensive utilization enterprises, which can process 110,000 tons of used tires and 82,000 retreaded tires annually.
