It is reported that the new captain, 95 meters, designed by Salt Ship Design, will be built by two shipyards in Kleven, Norway - Kleven Verft Shipyard and Myklebust Verft Shipyard. Each ship will be equipped with a 500-ton tensile three-cylinder main anchor handling winch, two secondary winches, cargo safety winches and other auxiliary winches, and a dry bulk cargo system. In addition, Rolls will supply equipment such as rudders and steering gears for each ship. The contract also includes an additional option for additional anchor recycling framework equipment to assist in the retraction of the anchor.
The total contract value of the six ships exceeded £54 million and was the company's single largest deck machinery contract. It also includes the priority of another four ships. The design of the six vessels is expected to be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2016 and the third quarter of 2017. If the alternative orders for the four vessels take effect, they are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2018.
