Installation points of vortex flowmeter
Vortex flowmeter is a new type of flowmeter . Due to its high precision, adaptability, wide application range and simple installation , it is widely used in the chemical industry . The installation direction of the vortex flowmeter cannot be reversed.
The “→†on the vortex flowmeter should be consistent with the flow direction of the process medium . The sensor of the large diameter plug-in vortex flowmeter should be perpendicular to the pipe axis , and the flange connection type should be coaxial with the process pipe.
The vortex flowmeter should be installed to ensure the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
(1) The general requirements for the front and rear straight pipe sections of the vortex flowmeter are : the first 20 D and the last 5 D (D is the inner diameter of the connected process pipe ). The valve is generally designed on the downstream side of the flowmeter.
(2) When the flowmeter is installed at the outlet of the compressor, blower or plunger pump , the upstream side of the flowmeter needs to be equipped with a valve . In this case , in order to ensure the measurement accuracy of the flowmeter , the length of the upstream straight pipe section is not less than In addition to 20 D, a current limiting or buffering device is installed on the upstream side , as shown in Figure 1 :
(3) requirements for the process line have adjustable length before and after the straight pipe, respectively to ensure that no less than 5 D and 10 D on it; if the gate valve must be selected on the upstream side of the flowmeter, the length of the previous straight pipe not less than 40 D, as shown in Figure 2 .
(4) The source components such as temperature and pressure should be installed on the downstream side of the vortex flowmeter . The distance requirement is shown in Figure 3 : the distance between the vortex flowmeter and the source component.
Install the vortex flowmeter to ensure that the vortex generator is filled with media inside the working state.
The vortex flowmeter measures the flow of liquid, gas and steam media and can be installed in horizontal, vertical or even any angular position . However , in either case , the flowmeter must be guaranteed. The interior can be completely filled with the same medium.
(1) For the connected process pipeline , the inner diameter should not be smaller than the inner diameter of the flowmeter. The inner diameter of the gasket used when flange connection should be larger than the inner diameter of the flowmeter itself . Otherwise, air bubbles or vacuum will be generated , which will affect the measurement accuracy.
(2) When measuring the horizontal installation of liquid medium , avoid the air bubbles inside the flowmeter due to improper arrangement of the pipeline , as shown in Figure 4(a); when installing the vertical pipeline , the flow direction of the medium is required to be upward when the flow direction When it is inevitable , consider removing the negative pressure caused by gravity to avoid the inside of the flowmeter not fully filling the measured medium , as shown in Figure 4(b) .
Precautions for pipe cleaning and purging
Pipe cleaning and purging can not be carried out together with the flowmeter . The flange type vortex flowmeter should use the replacement short section to temporarily replace the flowmeter . The plug-in flowmeter first removes the flowmeter and then cleans or purges it to avoid The flowmeter is damaged.
Vortex flowmeter environment
(1) There are many types of vortex flowmeters. The flowmeters of different types and different types of flowmeters are different , such as ambient temperature, medium temperature, measurement accuracy and pipe diameter . Please pay attention to the model and other technologies during installation. Parameters and take appropriate measures according to their technical requirements.
(2) Vortex flowmeter installation should be away from power lines, high-power electrical equipment and other places with strong electromagnetic interference.
(3) The vortex type flowmeter is sensitive to the influence of vibration , so it should be away from the vibration area when selecting the installation position . If it must be installed in the vibration area , the pipe bracket should be installed on the connected pipe to fix it.
Grounding requirements for vortex flowmeters
(1) In addition to the signal grounding and cable shielding grounding required by the specification , the flowmeter body should also be grounded , and the grounding resistance value meets the design requirements. If the design is not required, it should be less than 10 Ω.
(2) When the sensor and the transmitter are installed separately , the electrical connection of the connecting cable should be ensured . Generally, a special connecting cable is provided .
