Goodyear engineers and scientists have found that synthetic rubber materials based on soybean oil are not affected by temperature changes and are more easily mixed with silica-reinforced composites.
According to reports, this new rubber material not only helps to improve production efficiency, reduce energy consumption, but also enhance tire grip, thereby optimizing the performance of tire products in wet and dry conditions and winter road conditions.
Tire World Network has learned that in recent years, in addition to soybean oil, Goodyear is actively exploring the possibility of putting all kinds of novelty materials into tire manufacturing.
Among them, rice husk ash silica, carbon fiber, DuPont Kevlar layer fiber and volcanic sand and other materials.
According to Goodyear staff, these research results laid the foundation for the success of this research and development project.
