Recently, BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision in accordance with the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures for the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall Management, which was decided from June 15th, 2018. , recalled some of the Tengshi cars produced between September 19, 2014 and December 5, 2017, totaling 10064 vehicles.

For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the front passenger occupant airbags were equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. entrusted Shenzhen Tengshi New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. to replace the improved front passenger occupant front airbag module for vehicles within the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
