Cooper Tire announced recently that it has established a sales subsidiary in Moscow, Russia, to provide support to existing local customers and expand new business.
Alex Kolkov, who recently joined Cooper Tire, will be the sales manager for Cooper Tire Russia. He has previously held leading positions in the sales and production departments of several multinational companies in Russia, including PauligRus and Sappi.
Cooper Tire did not disclose the company's current scale of business in the Russian market, nor did it disclose its business objectives for this market.
Cooper Tire Europe's Jeff Schumaker said: "With Cooper Tire continuing to build a customer base in the Russian region, we have great opportunities in this region."
