China's first "philatelic passport" issued in Zhangjiajie

On September 11th, China National Philatelic Corporation launched the new philatelic travel passport in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan. The “Philatelic Passport” with Zhangjiajie's natural scenery as its theme became the first product of this series.

According to reports, "Zhangjiajie philatelic travel passport" contains 10 pieces of China Post "Flower" series of stamps with a denomination of 1.2 yuan, with pictures of Zhangjiajie's 10 elite landscapes and introduction of a "passport", which is priced at 49 yuan each.

In addition, from now on, Huangshizhai, Jinbianxi, Yuanjiajie and other “passports” on the one-to-one map of Zhangjiajie's core scenic area provide postmark service for the convenience of visitors to the collection.

According to CAO Xiaoyong, the director of Zhangjiajie Post Office, “This is the first time that domestic stamps have been introduced into the development of tourism products. Visitors can experience this unique experience while interacting, admiring, collecting, sharing, and portable. Cultural products."

At the first spot, the reporter saw many tourists line up long queues, waiting to buy "passports" and stamped with postmarks. Lu Shihong, a Luoyang tourist from Henan who bought the first “Phigraphy Passport”, said that “Philatelic Passport” can be used as a stamp collection, as well as a testimony of his own tour footprint. He intends to buy a few extra copies and cover all postmarks.

Zeng Min, a member of the marketing department of China National Philateme Group, told reporters that the first batch of nearly 2,000 passports was sold out in less than two hours after the launch.

It is reported that China Post will also issue "Philatelic Passports" in other famous scenic spots in China.
