Anchai and Caterpillar joint venture project approved by the state

The reporter learned from the Industry Department of the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission that the joint venture construction of the medium-speed diesel engine project between Anqing Zhongchuan Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. and Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The total investment of the project is 144.09 million yuan, which will form an annual production capacity of 120 medium-speed diesel engines.
According to reports, Caterpillar is the world's leading supplier of diesel, natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines, of which the sales of speed diesel engines is the second largest in the world. The joint venture with Anchai is Caterpillar so far. The world's only joint venture in the field of speed diesel.
The relevant person in charge of the Anhui Development and Reform Commission said that the implementation of the project is another milestone in the development of the marine diesel engine industry in the province following the Rongan Power Marine Diesel Engine Project.
